Elderberry Studio
ELDERBERRY was BUILT OVER THE WINTER OF 2025-2026 AND is NOW AVAILABLE!
This is a small (est. 150 sq feet) work-only studio with a private door, and bright windows (on three walls) on the second floor of the ARQ barn. Access to a shared bathroom (second floor, stair access), but there is no direct water access or drain in this studio.
This studio has outlets on 4 walls, strong internet connection, and gorgeous natural light. We think Elderberry would be a great fit for any number of artistic pursuits. You can choose to paint or modify the space to suit your style.
Winter heating is supplemented by electric heater (provided by landlord), and summer cooling by fans, or keeping hallway door and exterior windows open.
Base Rent: $200 + Monthly Utilities: $75
Utilities include: electric, water, heating (space heater), WIFI, shared trash & recycling, plowing
Work-trade: Work trade for up to half of rent (excluding utilities) available for electrical, plumbing, house painting, or skilled carpentry experience.

**We are not on or near a bus line, you must have your own vehicle.
Pets are permitted in your work studio when you are there, but the property & building is shared with multiple other dogs and cats, so no animals with aggressive or “predator/chase” tendencies permitted. If your pet will be regularly be in the room, there will be an additional $50 annual pet fee.
RESTRICTIONS - No music/band rehearsal (sound bleeds from other adjacent spaces) or fire arts permitted in this space so as not to impact other working artists. This area is directly adjacent to other residential studios, so all “noise-making” hours (eg. anything using power tools) is strictly limited to between 9am - 10pm.

ARQtist Seth Palmer built this studio in 2025. Utilizing many materials salvaged from the property stores including support beams used in the construction for ‘My First Film’.

Elderberry was built over and within the filming location on the second floor of the ARQ Barn used by Zia Anger for ‘My First Film’ in 2019. Additionally we used 2×4s left over from the film set walls to build the walls for Elderberry.
We have studios, apartments, and storage areas across the property. Each named for something that grows on the land.
