Equinox Open House & Fundraiser at the ARQ Barn
Celebration & Community Connection at the end of our first Community in Bloom Season
What goes on at the ARQ Barn? Who’s making what? Come visit us and find out! We haven’t held an open house in awhile, so we’re figuring it out, but we’d love to invite our community in! Get to meet some of the Metal & Carpentry studio ARQtists, immerse yourself in a field of sunflowers (U-Pick and/or photography sessions), get a guided tour of our ground floor studios, and see some of our recent projects.
GENERAL PROGRAMS
12-4pm Open Studio Visit & Chat in the Metal & Carpentry Shops with ARQtists
3-7:30pm - Photography sessions in the Sunflower Field (Paid) ($75 for 30 minute session)

TIMED PROGRAMS
1:00pm & 5:00pm - 40 minute Guided Tour of ARQ studios and sunflower fields, and current projects.
2pm - Sunflower Arts Eco-Therapy Workshop with ARQtist Alex Van Nostrand
7pm Lighting of the Autumn Equinox Fire
COST: We can accept cash or Venmo
$5-10 - Drinks (Alcoholic & Non-alcoholic available)
$20 - You Pick Sunflower Bouquet (12-6pm)
$75 for 30 minute Photo Shoots in the Sunflower Field
DATE & TIME - Saturday September 20th 12-8pm
LOCATION
ARQ Barn - 6340 Carman Rd, Trumansburg NY 14886 - Please follow the parking signs at the road, and park along the road, or in the field by the parked school bus just past the house (there will be neon orange traffic cones to direct you - it’s okay to drive on the mown parts of the field). Please DO NOT park in any parking lot or driveway areas by the house or the ARQ Barn. Events will be by the Metal Shops and the Sunflower Field (across the street from the barn)
ACCESSIBILITY NOTES - We will be outside for the full program (in case of serious rain the event will be cancelled), either seated or walking. Chairs will be available. If you are allergic to bees or wasps please bring an epi-pen (we won’t be close to any known hives, but there are honey bees on the property), we also have ragweed in the fields if you have a strong reaction to pollen. We will have an outhouse and port-a-potty available.
